Gatwick Airport Information

With the exception of Heathrow, London Gatwick Airport is the United Kingdom's largest and busiest airport. Often said to be the busiest single runway airport in the world over 32 million passengers use pass through Gatwick every year. Opened in 1958 Gatwick now boasts two terminals - the South (opened in 1958) and the North (opened in 1988).

Passengers flying from London Gatwick on one of the ~90 airlines using the airport can reach 13 domestic and over 200 international destinations. All areas of Gatwick Airport are fully accessible to the disabled and facilities are provided children to play in and for baby changing.

Business travellers in search of a quiet place to work can take advantage of one of the airport's executive lounges and the on site conference and business centre provides facilities for meetings and other business services.

Security measures currently in force at UK airports can lead to longer check-in times and other delays, especially at times of heightened alert. Make sure you have informed yourself about any new measures in place at the time you fly and allow enough time to comply with them.
